Remote Monitoring

We provide remote monitoring free of charge to all our customers that take out a service agreement with us.

Once setup the remote monitoring will send us the machines meter readings automatically at the end of each month to remove human error and so that someone in your office doesn’t need to respond to an email or phone call to provide them manually. Most importantly the remote monitoring sends us notifications when any toner starts to get low so we can send a replacement before you run out. Below is information more specific to the different makes of copier. If you did have any questions or require any more information contact us via it.support@aircopiers.co.uk

  • Canon

All Canons have an embedded software called EMaintenance on them as standard. When the machines are setup in our workshop this software is tested and then test again by the engineer during the installation at your office. Once reporting as stated above it will send us the meter readings automatically but will calculate the amount of days left for each toner based on the amount of pages printed and coverage on those pages. We receive a notification once the machine calculates a toner to have 15 days worth of toner remaining and we sent the replacement toner out on a next working day delivery. We then receive another notification at 5 days worth of toner remaining for us to double check the replacement was sent. If you raise a ticket with our service desk our engineers will also be able to see error codes and part lives remotely so may be able to bring the required parts with them removing the need for a return visit.

  • All Other Brands

For all other brands of copier we use a software called Pips. For Pips to work it will need to be installed on preferably a server on the same network as the copier or a Windows desktop also on the same network and is kept on. Depending on how locked down your network is the Pips agent can be installed by our engineer/service desk or your IT. Once setup and communicating with us it will send us the copiers meter readings automatically as well as notifications once a toner has 25% of its yield remaining for us to send the replacement out on a next working day delivery and then another notification at 15% so we can double check that the replacement toner was sent. When using Pips we will only receive these notification whilst the copier and the server/desktop are switched on and connected to the network simultaneously.
